Character backstories are important, they provide depth to your character and make it really easy for your DM to integrate the character deeply into the campaign but overuse of some tired tropes can make for a cookie cutter, blah back story. How do you fix this? Well, you call your favorite author and ask for advice! Wait, your favorite author won't return your calls? Don't worry, we got you covered because our favorite author Matt Phillion is joining us this week to talk player backstories!
